Welcome to Kiribati National Audit Office website. KNAO is an independent state Organisation responsible to carry out audits for Government Departments, Government Comapnies, Annual Accounts (Treasury), Local Government or Island Councils, Development Project, Special Audits and Performance and IT Audits.

The Public Office of the Auditor General is established under Section 14(1) of the constitution.

According to Section 114 (2) of the Constitution allows the Auditor General to audit the Public Accounts of Kiribati and of all departments, Offices, courts, and authorities of the Government, including statutory corporations and Government owned companies.
